Who:  High-school mathematics teachers Summer Dates/Times: July15, 2013- July 19, 2013 from 8:30 am until 3:30 pm Fall Dates/Times: TBD Additional Feature: One day of School-based Lesson Study with Substitute funds Location: George Mason University (Fairfax Campus)

Focus of Professional Development: Connections between the mathematical content covered in high school to other STEM areas Integration of engineering design activities into high-school mathematics instruction Pedagogical principles that promote understanding of mathematics and its connections to STEM Integration of technology into high-school mathematics instruction Lesson study in which teachers implement activities within their classrooms and analyze impact of those activities on student learning
